Tweens & Teens
Activity-based and relational therapy
Ages 11-17 years
55-minute session (in-person or virtual)
Does your teen feel things deeply? Maybe they get overwhelmed easily, shut down, or react in ways that seem bigger than the situation. You might notice anxiety, mood swings, or constant worry—about school, friendships, or how they’re perceived by others.
At this age, emotions can feel intense and confusing. Your child may struggle to talk about what’s going on, or they may not fully understand it themselves. You might also be seeing signs of low confidence, self doubt, or a strong inner critic.
Highly sensitive teens often need support that meets them where they are—helping them feel understood, build resilience, and navigate their emotions with more confidence.
Common areas of support include:
Emotional regulation and resilience-building
Confidence and identity development
Highly sensitive and emotional intensity
Anxiety, worries, and fear of making mistakes
Perfectionism and self-criticism
Relationship and attachment challenges
Academic stress and school-related pressures

Activity-based therapy for tweens and teens is a way of doing therapy that doesn’t rely only on talking. Instead, it uses interactive, hands-on activities to help young people express themselves, process emotions, and build skills in a way that feels more natural and less intimidating.
At this age, many adolescents don’t open up easily through direct conversation. Activities create a more comfortable entry point—so feelings, thoughts, and patterns can come out organically rather than feeling forced.
